Welcome, Girls Tennis Coach, Bob Himler

Coach Bob Himler is a lifelong student of tennis with more than 40 years of competitive experience at both the junior and adult levels. As a high school athlete, he competed in singles and doubles, earning four varsity letters and serving as co-captain of his varsity team. He has remained active in USTA league play throughout adulthood and currently holds a 4.0 rating, competing year-round on multiple men’s and mixed teams. He has been a key contributor to several Central Penn championship teams and has represented the district at the USTA Middle States Sectional Championships in Princeton, NJ. His coaching experience includes working with players of all ages and skill levels—from beginners to advanced junior competitors.

Coach Himler’s coaching philosophy centers on developing well-rounded athletes who excel both on and off the court. He emphasizes a positive, growth-oriented environment where players are encouraged to push their limits, learn from setbacks, and grow in character and confidence. His approach blends structure with collaboration, encouraging open communication, mutual respect, and shared responsibility to foster a strong team dynamic. With deep knowledge of Mid-Penn Conference rules, team structures, and match-day operations, Bob brings both experience and leadership to the Trinity High School tennis program. Welcome, Coach Himler!
