Trinity Girls Tennis Captain Brinley Orris ‘22 (Loyola House) has successfully led the tennis team to second place in the PIAA Division 2A with a current score of 15-1. A member of the Trinity Tennis team for all four years, Brinley was made Captain this year and is the second starting singles player.
Brinley has especially enjoyed her position as team captain. She believes that “it has allowed me to meet many people on the team and form closer bonds to everyone. It introduced me to a great group of girls that I will never forget.” Brinley has learned many things from being tennis captain this year, including, “how to work as a team. I know that there will always be someone to support me on good days and bad days. It was such a big chapter of my life that I will never forget.”
In addition to the incredible teamwork and support of the girls, Brinley owes her successes and the success of the team this season to “Coach Cooper, who has been there for me as long as I can remember. He’s always so full of energy and excitement which fuels the team.” Brinley loves that “there’s always such a great group of girls on the team, and we are always united. Since Trinity is a smaller school, it brings the team together to form lasting relationships.”
There is great hope and potential for future seasons at Trinity, as Brinley and her four fellow senior starters graduate and new faces join the team. Brinley hopes to see continued success for Trinity Girls’ Tennis: that the girls continue to be Mid Penn Champions and have fun while doing it. She plans to play tennis in college and will take the memories made at Trinity through her future endeavors. The Trinity Girls Tennis team is currently placed second in the division and will play for the district title on October 7 and 8, 2021. Good luck to the girls as they work to bring home another championship!
