THEOLOGY

Trinity’s theology courses are designed to give Catholics an in-depth look into Catholic tradition and history, Scripture, Christian vocations, faith formation, and moral development, while providing non-Catholics with a foundation from which to understand these same concepts. Catholics will grow into a deeper understanding of the intellectual and spiritual aspects of their faith, while non-Catholics will find parallels to their own faith traditions. Catholicism has served as the foundation of Western history, culture, literature, and philosophy, that students of all backgrounds will benefit from our required theology courses. 

ENGLISH

The English department strives to develop learners capable of reading and interpreting novels, poems, and plays from Old English to modern day. Trinity students write often and in every class, developing their voice, and honing their research and analytical skills. Students will study American and British literature, as well as numerous units on different cultures across the world. Our students also have the option to participate in various writing contests, including Scholastic Arts and Writing and competitions hosted by the VFW.

SOCIAL STUDIES

Trinity’s Social Studies program focuses on creating citizens who are articulate and socially responsible. Through history courses that cover events, persons, and trends from the ancient world through modern time, students learn about the past with the idea of influencing the future.

MATHEMATICS

Our Math Department places a high value on critical thinking and problem solving in its courses which cater to students of all ability levels. Pre-algebra, algebra I & II, geometry, trigonometry/pre-calculus, statistics, and calculus I & II, all give students the opportunity to understand concepts, demonstrate skills, and master techniques of high school and college preparatory mathematics.

SCIENCE

Trinity’s Science Department focuses on acquiring knowledge by following the scientific method and incorporates labs and real-world applications as a matter of course. Our courses in earth science, biology, chemistry, and physics enforce the concept that lab experience is essential to integrating critical thought processes. Science Fair projects are also an option, and Trinity regularly has students who place in local CASEF competitions.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE

The World Language Department at Trinity promotes foreign language through the four fundamental language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students also experience the culture and geography of the language through film, food, images, literature, and more. Trinity offers four years of instruction for Latin, Spanish, Chinese, and French.
