Faith in our Future

Since 1963, Trinity High School has been a pillar of Cumberland County, excelling in academics, athletics, student life, and service. Today, we embark on a major Capital Campaign that will help Trinity to continue to be one of the leading educational institutions in the community. Our physical facilities are in need of significant upgrades for an enhanced educational environment. The total need for the Campaign is $9 million–with the outside facade and HVAC requiring $3.1 million, the auditorium renovation costing $3.2 million, athletic improvements running $1.7 million, and our STEAM initiative costing $200,000.

The gifts to date have allowed the school to fulfill many needs and prepare for more: all our students and faculty are equipped with Chromebooks, the gym has been renovated, which includes new bleachers, COBO Field is sporting new turf, our practice field was expanded, and three-quarters of the facade of the building has been replaced. In the summer of 2023, we have the funds to replace the last major section of the facade (there are various small sections that need replaced) and add air conditioning to the second floor of the building. We will also resurface the tennis courts this summer.

EXTERIOR FACADE AND HVAC

With the generosity of our community, Trinity has installed a new exterior façade on the front of the building. We are currently raising funds to replace the rear facade, which will allow for the installation of a comprehensive, energy-efficient HVAC system. This upgrade will allow for school-wide air conditioning to be installed, and will create energy-efficient infrastructure. Three quarters of the facade has been replaced. The final major section and second-floor air conditioning will undergo construction in the summer of 2023.

AUDITORIUM

Trinity has secured a $3 million dollar donation from a generous family to renovate our auditorium space, from the stage, to the lighting, to the sound capabilities of the area. New padded seats, flooring, and ceiling will enhance the most important common area in the school, one in which students begin and end their time at Trinity, and where much of our communal liturgical life takes place. Construction is complete, and the class of 2023 was the first to graduate in this beautiful space.

1:1 TECHNOLOGY

In 2020, every student and teacher received a Chromebook equipped with a protective case and insured for many years of productive classroom use. These devices allow students to take a more interactive, creative role in their educations and enable faculty to reach students with different learning styles more effectively. In the time of COVID, the Chromebooks have allowed for flexible instruction methods, and ensured that our students’ education has been minimally impacted by disruptions.

ATHLETIC IMPROVEMENTS

Trinity installed a turf field at the COBO Field facility to allow for an enhanced competitive experience by our student-athletes in the summer of 2022. The field increased the practice space available on our campus and allowed for the expansion of our athletic offerings to include field hockey. The field will withstand use by numerous sports teams and groups. This campaign facet also includes the installation of new gym bleachers for safety and accessibility, which were also completed in the summer of 2022.
